Terms of Service
The rules of the road for using divcalc.io. Read these before relying on anything the calculator shows you.
Acceptance
By using divcalc.io, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the site.
The service
divcalc.io provides free, browser-based dividend calculators. You enter inputs — starting balance, yield, dividend growth rate, price growth, contributions, DRIP preferences — and the site returns a year-by-year projection of dividend income and portfolio value. Ticker-specific pages pre-fill recent yield, dividend growth, and price using snapshots of historical data.
The output is educational projection math. It is not a forecast, not a recommendation, and not a financial product.
Not investment advice
divcalc.io is not your investment advisor. We are not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, or financial planner. Nothing on this site constitutes personalized investment, tax, or legal advice. No fiduciary relationship is created by your use of the calculator.
The math is a hypothetical projection driven entirely by your inputs and our default assumptions. Past performance does not predict future results.Dividend yields, growth rates, share prices, and payout policies change. Companies cut dividends. ETFs change their distribution methodology. Real outcomes will differ from any projection on this site — sometimes substantially.
Data accuracy
We make a best-effort attempt to keep ticker data accurate, using historical dividend, split, and price information sourced from Polygon.io. We do not guarantee that the data is current, complete, or free of errors. The “data refreshed” or “fetched at” timestamp shown on each ticker page is the source of truth for when our snapshot was last pulled. Always verify against your brokerage or the official issuer site before making decisions.
User content
There is no user content on divcalc.io. The site is read-only — you cannot post, upload, or share material through it.
Affiliate and advertising disclosure
divcalc.io may, in the future, earn commissions through broker affiliate links or display revenue through advertising programs such as Google AdSense. None of those arrangements are active today. When they go live, links will be disclosed in context and on the disclaimer page.
Intellectual property
The site's code, copy, design, and editorial content are © divcalc.io. The calculator math itself is built on widely-known financial formulas (compound growth, yield, CAGR) and is not proprietary. Ticker-level dividend, split, and price data is sourced from Polygon.io and is subject to their terms of use.
Limitation of liability
divcalc.io is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, divcalc.io and its operators are not liable for any investment decisions, trades, tax outcomes, lost gains, or other financial harm arising from your use of the site. You are responsible for your own investment decisions.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
