These numbers assume your starting yield, dividend growth rate, and share-price growth all hold for 10 years straight. Real markets don't work that way — companies cut dividends, ETFs change strategy, prices swing in ways the inputs above can't capture. Use this projection to compare scenarios (more contribution vs less, DRIP on vs off, 10 years vs 25), not as a number you'll see in your brokerage account.

S&P 500 is included only as a total-portfolio-value reference — it isn't the most meaningful benchmark for income-focused strategies. The 10% baseline reflects the index's long-term nominal total return (price + dividends), a reference rather than a forecast.

What this calculator does

A free dividend calculator that runs entirely in your browser. There's no signup, no email collection, and the numbers you enter never leave your device — the math is JavaScript loaded with the page. The model handles DRIP reinvestment, dollar-cost averaging contributions on any cadence, separate share-price and dividend growth rates, monthly through annual payment frequencies, and a full year-by-year projection table. The same engine is used across every calculator on this site.

How to use it

Enter what you've invested and the current share price, then your assumed yield, dividend growth, and share-price growth. If you add money on a schedule, set Extra investment and Extra investment frequency. Toggle DRIP on or off depending on whether you're modeling accumulation or current income. Length of investment goes up to 50 years. Every input updates the KPI block, the chart-quality year-by-year table, and the per-payment income figure instantly — no submit button.

Frequently asked questions

Is the calculator really free? What's the catch?

Yes, free. There is no catch. The site is funded by display ads and (eventually) brokerage affiliate links shown alongside the calculator, neither of which require you to share data. The math itself is loaded with the page and runs on your device — once the page loads, you could use the calculator offline.

Does the site track what I enter?

No. The form state lives only in your browser tab. The site sets no tracking cookies and loads no analytics scripts — server logs see request paths and IPs, the same way any web server does, but nothing about your inputs ever leaves your device. If we add aggregate page-view analytics in the future, this page and the privacy policy will be updated to disclose it.

Can I save my inputs or come back to them later?

Not yet. Bookmarking the page reloads the defaults, not your last session. A future update will add URL-encoded inputs so you can share a specific scenario with a single link, but this version is intentionally stateless to keep zero data on our servers.
